Position Opening-Assistant Director of Physician Monitoring
Required Qualifications
- College degree required
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills required<
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Able to organize, plan, and manage time effectively to complete assignments
- Able to coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions, and meet deadlines in a detail-oriented manner
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Courteous and professional demeanor
- Able to work as a team with attorneys
- Strong sense of discretion and sensitivity to confidential matters
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience preferred
- Typing speed of at least 50 wpm with a high rate of accuracy
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Assist the Director of Physician Monitoring with all department functions and duties
- Keep cases organized by establishing and organizing files, monitoring calendars, documenting actions, inputting information into case management software
- Coordinate information sharing between the Board and third parties such as drug screening companies, professional evaluators, and rehabilitation programs
- Enter data into Board databases
- Utilize the Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) and Jasper
- Obtain, review, summarize, implement, and explain physician evaluations and treatment records
- Generate quarterly, biannual, and annual reports
- Make monthly reports to the Board and Medical Licensure Commission
- Coordinate and direct Physician Monitoring duties for the Board, MLC, and APHP
- Coordinate and direct site visits, interviews, and other field work with Investigations Department
- Network with other state PHP professionals to share best practices
- May be required to work weekdays and/or weekends, and/or evenings if needed to meet deadlines
- May be required to work on religious and/or legal holidays
- May be required to perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or General Counsel
