The Medical Licensure Commission:

• Has the exclusive power and authority to issue, revoke, and reinstate all licenses authorizing the licensee to practice medicine or osteopathy in the state of Alabama.
• Grants medical and osteopathic licenses.
• Adjudicates formal allegations concerning physician safety. 
• Issues temporary licenses to physicians who are relocated or stationed in this state under official military orders.
